These are simple rules that would make your airsofting experience a lot more enjoyable.
1.Always keep your AEG(Air Electric Gun) properly maintained.
2.Good Quality BBs are a good investment.... Poor quality BBs will ruin your gun, Jams can cause your piston body and gears to strip. While dry fires can ruin your gearbox/mechbox.
3.Always charge your battery before the gaming day.
4.Always hydrate yourself before and during the game... Have seen too many people suffer from heat stroke and dehydration while playing.So a buying a good hydration pack is money well spent.
5.Always call yourself out when hitted....Be a gentleman, give your shooter the merit they deserve by acknowledging you've been hitted. It will also save you from getting more welts on your body.
6.Never hit call..... You got your muzzle pointed at the opponent then you squeeze the trigger, You expect to hit them.... right??? Strangely, there are many factors that could affect your BB trajectory resulting to a zero kill.
Factors are...
* BBs are too slow... The "Matrix" effect might be applicable here.... remember, the sound of your aeg travels faster than your BBs (specially if it's still stock) so chances are targets will dodge them.
* Shrubs are on the your BB path.... foliage branches and leaves "greatly" affects your bb trajectory especially if you're using light ones. Even rain drops have an effect on your bb flight path.
* You're are a poor shooter... That's it and that's all...
The thing here here is too always keep your cool...
7. Don't resort to trash talking.... even when others do.. That's very ungentlemanly. Let your rifle do the talking.
8. Always follow game site rules.
9. Don't complain over petty things... Next thing i hate after zombies are whiners and complainers.... They make a fuzz over small details and most often than not hinder in the smooth operation of a game.
10. Always wear proper eye protection... I can't stress this enough. Remember that you expect to get welts and bruises from airsofting... that can't be avoided... But you can avoid getting blind to a BB travelling at 450 Feet Per Second. Wounds heal but a blinded eye is a bit more complicated than that.
11. When playing on woodland or jungle terrain insect repellant sprays will come in handy. Bothersome mosquitoes and bugs will foil a perfect ambush because it'll wear out your patience and a swaying bush (because of your scratching) would alert the opfor of your presence.
Happy Airsofting....
